Amanda Solomon is jazzed to be the Program Director at Santa Barbara Hillel. Originally from Florida, Amanda received her Masters degree from the University of Pennsylvania in Nonprofit Leadership just this past May and did her undergraduate studies in Anthropology at the University of Florida. (Go Gators!) Her experiences at the UF Hillel has been a true force in shaping her identity. As Judaism has always been a significant aspect of her personal and social life, she has discovered all of the wonderful things being Jewish has to offer. Amanda believes that a Jewish life is an exciting journey for each individual to find themselves on their unique terms. Over the last few years, some of the ways in which she has defined herself are through mindfulness practice and instructorship in Krav Maga. Amanda also enjoys the arts and stays active in promoting tikkun olam and social justice. She thrives off of the energies of others and is looking forward to being part of the Santa Barbara Hillel community.
