Santa Barbara Hillel is incredibly proud of its student leadership board for putting together a very successful Interfaith Coexistence Week. The week was dedicated to bringing together and appreciating UCSB campus' religious and spiritual diversity. Interfaith Coexistence Week was entirely planned by the student leaders from various multicultural groups including: UCSB's Muslim Student Association, SB Hillel, Meditation & Buddhist Discussion Group, Latter-Day Saints Student Association, and Orthodox Christian Fellowship. Each organization held a cultural awareness event to help foster positive interfaith relationships. The week started with a speed-faithing event, followed by various multicultural discussions, a meditation session, and concluded with Shabbat at Santa Barbara Hillel. We hosted a beautiful learning service led by Rabbi Evan Goodman and a dinner featuring interfaith dialogues. We are so excited to continue to build upon these relationships in the future.
