Alexi Biener and Meital Levy led another wonderful group of 40 students from SBCC and UCSB to the land of Milk and Honey! Throughout our 10 days in Israel we hiked mountains in the Golan Heights, rafted through the Jordan River, touched the stones of the Kotel, spent Shabbat in Jerusalem, celebrated 14 students as they became a Bar or Bat Mitzvah, and so much more! Stephanie Grace shared, “The trip forced me to step outside my comfort zone and I am a stronger and more well-rounded person because of it.” Nicole Pavlovsky, who was born in Israel but had not been back since she left as a young girl expressed, “I had never felt so deeply connected to my roots- to the land as well as to the rich history of my Jewish ancestry.”
