On Friday, February 8th at 6:00pm, we will hold a very special Shabbat in memory of Avi Schaefer. Avi, a Santa Barbara native and Brown student, was an Israel activist who cared deeply about Muslim-Jewish dialogue. Avi’s father, Rabbi Arthur Gross Schaefer, will speak about Avi’s life and passion during services. We are honored that the Muslim Student Association is co-sponsoring this evening of friendship, conversation, reflection, and memory. Kiddush and dinner will be held directly after services.
